“We are all, in all places, strangers and pilgrims.” ~William Bradford
This book makes history interesting & is NOT just for history nerds! I’m purposely taking my time (I’ve talked about this in Sept. & October Booktube videos) and annotating so I'll remember. You're probably like me-you know random facts about early America, the monarchy, and reformation, but this author connects the dots and it makes sense!

Just starting, but WHY am I reading this? I'm a history nerd & think this author is SO right. My synopsis of why he wrote this book ->We've all been taught a brief narrative: Jamestown, Pilgrims on the Mayflower, then, BAM, it's time to fight the King for independence! How was society built so successfully afterward? Why did they REALLY come? It's a "Tale of Two Countries" & our answers lie back in England 🤓
