(1) Anthony Twistelli is mentioned, which is extra-confusing, because it's the only time Tony Twist's name is said in full.
- A casual reader might eventually cotton on to the idea that Tony Twist is Vito Gravano, but drawing the line from Anthony Twistelli to Tony Twist is an extra degree of separation.
(2) The last three issues are all about omens, monsters and magic goo.

Notes:
(1) At least to me, the whole premise of this arc is ironic: homeless vagrants engaged in territorial gang warfare.
(2) It's almost like something out of "Neverwhere," that the labyrinthine back alleys of a city are an actual labyrinth.
(3) We get our first male angel.
- Granted, I never read the "Angela" miniseries, but as far as I know, angels have all been female.

Notes:
(1) Brian Holguin starts co-writing the series with McFarlane.
- I can only hope this means large text blocks will be a thing of the past.
(2) This looks like it's taking a break from the endless standstill of the series' main plot. Stuff might actually get done.
- Last book was all: Spawn has something then he doesn't, Spawn does something but it means nothing, etc.
