I am going quite slow but it has been very eye opening so far! I have learned a lot.

I am reminded of this book every time I see an ‘Orientalist’ painting or movie scene. Or anything remotely associated with the Orientalist view on the Middle East/Asia. Makes you realise how much of your own history has been manipulated to fit Western European narrative.
