the text is SO repetitive.
so, so repetitive.
i want to know what actually happens here, but lordt! the temptation to stop reading altogether is high. the author has impressive credentials - but the writing level is low (primary-school level), irrelevant minutiae is high, and relevant information is sporadic and sparse. very disappointed so far. >_<

so. the killer is awaiting his next victim, & the author writes that the train went 'clickety-clack' along the track. OK, fine.
the author then spends the rest of the paragraph explaining *why trains make that sound*.
AUGHHHHHHHHH.
you know how, in teen films, the desperate college student adds a bunch of utterly meaningless filler to pad out a 10-page paper due in 5 hours?
that's this book.
HUUUUUNNNNNhhhhh.
