Commencing my re-read ahead of sixth wing. I forgot how painful the exposition dumping was in the first chapter but we are pushing through!

Maybe I’m having a hard time suspending my disbelief, but it feels like some aspects of the parapet to private pipeline just don’t make sense. If your country is constantly being attacked WHY does your military academy allow cadets to murder each other at breakfast?

Why didn’t the copy editors flag the overuse of “fisting”? “My heart fisted my chest.” Girl, no it did not.
