This book is making me insane. I feel like I have to barrel through to the end, but I also feel like I’m just being tossed philosophical questions with only a whiff of a plot. Why is everyone in this book anti short-stringers? Why is “short-stringers” a word? Maybe I’m naive, but I have to think in real life it would not play out this way at all.
