Every time I read the line “Every time I get a flare-up I have to worry that this is the one that isn’t going to go away” it hits me as hard as the first time I read the book, but it’s hitting especially hard right now.

Love this book and I only want to kill myself a little bit!

In an unsurprising turn of events, the book about chronic illness did not make me feel distracted from or better about my chronic illnesses. (:

Maybe if I read hard enough I can forget both the fact I had a terrible day mentally because of my physical health and also the fact that my arm looks like a fucking balloon where I got my tattoo lmao. Fun to have a reminder of the fact I teeechnically have an immune condition

Rereading this whilst in a fragile mental state especially around my health. What could possibly go wrong!
