Eadie reminds me a little of Targa from the Elementals series. A siren that doesn’t lose sight of the human part of herself like many other sirens do.

I think Seth has the hots for Eadie and the triplets found Gina! I totally forget she was in the wreck

Eadie got asked out on her first date! Not with the guy she has the hots for, not nonetheless, a cute guy.

As I start reading the first chapter, Eadie appears to be an outsider to both her high school peers as well as her own sisters. Seth from, the prequel, Cobalt is mentioned. It is exciting to see a character I am already familiar with mentioned.

Surprisingly, the prologue is dedicated to a siren saying she rejects the siren part of herself and wishes to stay on land as a human. She is angry that her siren mother had succumbed to the call of the salt, calling the salt a home wrecker

If you have read “Born of Water” and its subsequent siren spin off novels, then you know of the Salt Cycle. It is the pull of a siren to leave the water to mate with a human male and eventually to(hopefully) return to the water with a siren daughter. If she has given birth to a baby boy, the call to return to the ocean will be too strong and she must part ways with her son and human lover.
