are we all reading the same book? how is this 4-5 stars? this feels like a rushed to print debut novel of a young author. so many f-bombs? i curse but wow, violence loves the f-word. It feels like an intro to english college final paper. disappointed so far.

the author can’t even keep the names straight but the reader is supposed to? Maribel is changed to Mirabel in a few sentences. seriously, did she fire her editor? how is this getting 5 stars?

rushed, sloppy, and bad writing. still disappointed and hoping it gets better. She sure loves her ellipses, repeating phrases, and bile in the throat. Might be a DNF.
