Have been waiting for Mateo’s weird stubbornness to be justified but up until this point, it just appears like he wants to be a dick. What reason could he have for being so jaded? Where did he get his trust issues and overwhelming cynicism? Is he just born a pessimist? A realist and not a romantic? He is also turning out to be INCREDIBLY selfish and shameless, but until now there’s no rationale behind it.

Noooo, disappointed at Opalo's height! Short men are a turn-off for me. Anything that makes their physique more akin to the underaged or some kind of underdevelopment. The visual imagery of having his top actually shorter by a lot isn't very romantic. Maybe he isn't short-SHORT, just that Mateo is tall?

Ahh, sweet and sexy protagonists, instead of idiotic egotistical ones. DEEP BREATH.
