Occasional glimpses of joy in this book - I have screen spotted the timetable which is an insightful and familiar reflection of my own body clock and will help me think about when to prioritize tasks.

Great little passage - a big take home is how to overcome procrastination? I a,suffering this right now with uni assignments - I’m not worried about them but know I could put myself in a brilliant position for my holiday at Christmas if I can get them done by then. One way to overcome this delay is to imagine or plan an even more intimidating activity - you’ll soon want to do the put off task.

Getting a bit better and starting to feel more of a connection and appreciation of how I can slow down my pace and set a better example to others.

When will this end? Oh the irony of a book about time which is so dull time stands still. There is no flow or storyline - this is just a rambling of research thrown together.

Ongoing struggle to get to the heart of this book - so much research has gone into it and I’m rushing for the answer. But it’s so depressing because it assumes I feel the same way. Maybe I’m a bit older and have a lot of self control. All I’ve got so far is we need to have a positive mindset and gratitude. No shit Sherlock.

On time by Catherine Blyth. The dust cover describes the author as a writer for broadsheet newspapers and women’s magazines. I looked this up because the writing wasn’t carrying the gravitas of a field expert and I was right. It feels written by a busy Londoner for other busy Londoners. And yes she lives in London. Having shunned this existence for some time I’m yet to find my hook.
