Though not as good as his second cookbook, The Scarpetta Cookbook, Conant's first cookbook is filled with lots of valuable information and detailed and clearly written recipes. This book isn't as well designed as his second book and has fewer photographs. Still, I'll be trying a few recipes soon like the Artichoke, Pancetta and Potato Torta and the Walnut and Brown Butter Cake just to name two.
