This author is balanced in their writing and detailed at all the right parts of the story. Still not actually at the Six-Day War yet, but giving a deep overview of Moshe Dayan’s experience lends a lot of color to the events leading into the conflict.

The Israeli Defense Minister during the Six Day War lost an eye in his earlier years of service so he wore an eyepatch for the rest of his life and I think that’s really badass

Lots of set-up but I’m here for it
