Its heavily abridged. Completely cut is the prince's backstory. Not as satisfying as reading the original but nice to see someone attempt to do a retelling of the original Beauty and the Beast rather than the more well known Beaumont version.

So far this is a very good version of the original Beauty and the Beast. The Villeneuve version with only minor changes which don't impact the story.
