Driving me fully insane saying pith-helmet shit like “pre-civilised” and “low barbarian”. Annoyingly you can tell he’s not even a callipers dipshit. His head’s screwed on re: settler-colonial violence and the consequences of white invasions, but he can’t escape the idea that one “civilisation” can be x millennia “behind” another based on when they first developed agriculture. Maddening!
