54 pages in: "boys" and "girls" is so distracting. I'm a 28 year old woman and it's starting to sound like this book was meant for a younger audience.

These ladies give so much grace to men, but have none to spare for fellow ladies. Is this the tone to be used on young girls? Men are repeatedly described as strong, logical, deep, interesting people. Girls, on the other hand, are whimpering shallow dolts with nothing to do but gossip and talk about clothes and nail polish. Men's errors are just errors. Girls errors are fundamental flaws in their sinful nature.

So far, the authors think girls should develop an interest in typically male things, like Sun Tzu's The Art of War, instead of just thinking about nail polish and clothes. So you're telling me that teen girls are airheads who only think of nail polish and clothes while teen boys are intelligent macho dudes who have Sun Tzu on the brain.
What even is this book and why am I still reading it? And how is this BY women?

"Part of why we sometimes view our brothers as bungling or unintelligent is because, often, we’re rating them according to what girls are good at. Are they tidy? Quiet? Clean? Mannerly? Emotionally intuitive? No? Then what are they good at? Their mathematical genius, or tactical brilliance, or computer wizardry..."
Really? In this century being clean and quiet are still considered genetic feminine traits? REALLY?

I wish they elaborated what they consider a "real man". This book is built on the premise that there is a shortage of "real men" but interestingly fails to capture the complete picture of what a "real man" should look and act like. We all obviously have our own definitions of "real men"; I would've loved to know theirs.
