hmmmmmmm okay, this is underwhelming, very little so far about cougars, more about how the author got to study them, so the focus is on his life rather than the cats. I guess I knew this was a memoir, but I've read memoirs that focused on the animals more than the authors. Oh well.

The preface sounds so promising! It was really a hard time waiting for this book - almost 2 months late when it finally reached me. I also struggled for the past couple of years to pick just 1 cougar book to start with and I never decided on any until I saw that Cougars on the Cliff was forthcoming. If that one grabs my interest, I'm sure to buy several more on my list.
