Jander persuades Trina to open the mysterious door with a new spell she learned, and steps in when Trina leaves. Jander ends up reading a book laid out on a table, and he is shocked and in disbelief when he sees Annas face, with a lover. Her and Strahds brother. Her name appears as Tatyana. Jander takes another book and goes to the study.

Sasha and Leisl go to kill vampiress. Jander and Strahd play a game Strahd invented, and Trina annoys him by playing with his pieces. Strahd yanked her head back, and while Jander was about to say something he put a spell of silence on him. Strahd was furious. Jander storms out. A flashback of Jander being tricked by his old missing comrade Gideon, turning him into a vampire and taking him to his master Cassiar.

(Cont) a little girl slave in a cellar. Jander takes her out and wants to take her to safety. He then sees Sasha in all black and a red hood. He was the one killing the undead. Jander then hands the girl over to Sasha, and leaves after lashing out at him. Eventually Sasha finds Leisl, “the little fox” wounded from vampiress. She wants to help him kill undead.

The cleric Martyn kneels before Jander, calling him the morninglord. Sasha pulls him away, and then when he finds Jander alone confronts him. He knew everything about him, and that he participated in the killing of his family. But Sasha kept his promise to his mother to never harm him. While this is happening, Strahd is just looking for women to seduce and turn into slaves. The next week, Jander finds..

She dodges Jander charging at her, and uses a plate of the Morninglord that Jander worshiped at him. It burns Jander, causing him pain and he disappears.

Jander and Trina talk, and she mentions magic. Jander hated the topic, and she mentions that she would make Strahd love her by using it. Jander tells her she is basically nothing to Strahd and she cries. He holds her, and Strahd appears a bit jealous. They go away together, and Jander remembers of when he went to meet with his comrade Lyria. He wants her to cure his vampirism, but she cannot. (cont)

Introducing the 19 yo thief Leisl, AKA the little fox. She goes to the Wolfs Den and sees the grown cleric Sasha escort a woman named Katya who appeared in a Vistani carriage. Jander still has no clues of Anna, and ends up killing plants just by touching them. Strahd appears and introduces him to a mortal/wolf, Katrina. Jander then visions Anna, who looks worse. She says he abandoned her, and that the answer is close

Sasha runs to the mansion and his family is dead. The village thinks he is cursed from when Petya cursed his grandfather, and deny him help. Eventually Martyn the cleric, who was actually the boy Jander made Strahd spare life, joined Sasha. They cut off all the heads of the dead and stuffed garlic in their mouths so they couldn’t rise. Sasha had put the stake in his own mother, Anastasia.

Strahd bit Anastasia, and his slaves killed her parents. Jander was enraged, but suggested to burn the house in order to not look suspect. They do, and Jander had memories of his old team of six who were invaded by vampires. 3 died, and one went missing. They could do nothing to stop the invasion, and ended up leaving the town Merrydale, now known as Daggerdale, not heroes anymore.
