This was an amazing mystery thriller. The ending was so full of action and thrill, I was afraid for a moment there that Elise would not be able to survive. However, I am a bit skeptical too that no one thought of linking the crime to the one who essentially wrote a whole manual on how to do it. Plus if she could make the connection between Clay, Laurel and Brett, couldn't the other officers too?

This segment proved that Elise can be a pretty scary cop and dig out crap about anyone if she sets her mind to it. She really is quite a sharp and quickwitted woman. This makes me think that she won't be as foolish as to use the methods she herself has published online to commit a perfect crime in order to get rid of Wade Austin. Maybe someone is trying to frame her as some sort of revenge?

Damn I can't even imagine how terrified Elise must be upon realising that Wade has his eyes on her two little girls. I cannot begin to think of a reason why Wade would be after Elise, did she do something to him in the past? Amd why was he so afraid even after the shooting had stopped? There are way too many questions swirling around my head rn and I am excited to find out the answers

This book jumped right into action without any sort of delay or meandering around which is something I really appreciate a lot. Elise sounds like a good cop and it's only natural that she is feeling the weight of having to pull the trigger in that tense situation.
