I wish Kadji Amin would touch grass. The opening of this book claims that Genet is, in many ways, over-idealized and people pretend they don't notice the problematic aspects of his work. By whom? Everybody, thinks Amin. I simply don't know who these people are who bring up Genet without the pederasty, racism, and the host of other things his works exemplifies. Does this dude have leftist friends.
