Palestine A-Z is the first poem I read. I think I know exactly what letter B meant and that was heartbreaking. Letter T made me think immediately of my friends in the region. Upon going into my friend's home and meeting her family for the first time, I was given warm tea with milk and a hug from her mother. "Habibi, please sit! And here, try these!" I was given sweet pastries as she told me stories of her childhood.
