Interesting how the Plinths announce the scholarship the day after sejanus's stint the arena. Almost as if the plinths have to pay off the capital.

It always drove me a bit insane when, in discussion of the movie, people said 'Lucy gray said it's too early for katniss, it foreshadowing" like that's not foreshadowing the prequel was written after. When sejanus in the arena says to snow about his father, "He'll buy you if you let him, or at least try to compensate you for trying to help me." /that's/ foreshadowing

I've always believed that the hunger games reaping was rigged. Sejanus's mom saying the family moved to the capitol to save him from the games, implies this again (not to mention lucy grays reaping). They're one of the richest families in panem, his number of slips in the pool would be minimal. But if his father knew it was rigged and was threatened, it makes sense for him to uproot his whole life to save him.

It wild for how "analytical" of a character snow is, how incapable he is of having thoughts. He's shocked when another mentor says they're being used just like the tributes, and now he's shocked when Sejanus's mother is immediately concerned Sejanus is in trouble with the capitol. As if this family is not district and have deep knowledge of both sides of the war.

Ma is a perfectly good an upstanding thing to call your mother and I will stand by that, thank you very much.
