Molly looked over at Silica. “Was she flirting?” she asked, panicked. “That spring is only half wound; I’m not sure!”

The trick Ater and Pullus pulled at "The Facilitation" point towards "The River" was so AWESOME!

The sounds of the other old men waking up just brought home how screwed I was, but I ignored them as I pressed down harder on the dirt. Hawk needed me, I needed him, and we both needed Ruber. This was not how the story ended. I didn’t care how fate or God or whatever thought it should end. It was not ending like this.
