Sybil being described intimately as a flower!

I am Basil, basil is me. Ornamental coat flower express. This is the most beautiful thing I have ever read and I’m only 14 pages in. Also ironic that Wilde wrote, “An artist should create beautiful things, but should put nothing of his own life into them.” when he is literally putting his own life into this book

If I loved you less I’d be able to talk about it more energy right here. Basil talks about how Dorian makes him feel but not directly of Dorian himself, like his effect on others is nothing notable but Dorian himself is somewhat sacred and therefore is to be kept close to the heart. I want someone to speak of me the way basil speaks of Dorian. For their world to be made more vivid by my mere existence.
