Hey Mark, do you have a succinct way to define what neo-calvinism is, or can you direct me to a website that has a decent summary? First I've heard of it

Neo-Calvinism is most associated with some Dutch Reformed theologians of about 100 years ago. It emphasizes God's sovereignty over all things. Abraham Kuyper, the initial theologian in the movement once said, "There is not one square inch in the entire creation over which Jesus does not cry out, "This is mine." Here is an article on it on the Gospel Coalition site, but Goodreads won't let me post it. The article is called "Do We need a Revival of Neo-Calvinism?"
BTW, not sure I will recommend this book. The authors don't do much to make it accessible and use way too much scholarly language. I wish they wrote more like they talk. A lot of the scholarly words simply are unnecessary. Besides that, it is still a good book that I am enjoying.
Thanks Mark! Scholarly tomes can be quite a tedious slog when it seems the authors are more concerned with flexing their expansive vocabularies and intellectual "credentials" rather than clearly and concisely communicating the truth they found important enough to write about!I'll probably skip this one, but I will certainly check out the article you have recommended.
