I love books about food and cooking. Books that can take you into a kitchen and the smells and aromas that are associated with good cooking. I am on page 20 and this book has immersed me already into the main characters memories with food. The adjectives transport me to summer time. I can taste the watermelon, feel the sticky sweetness not only of the fruit but the humidity. I can smell the charcoal and smoke.
