Started my annual reread tonight a bit early in December, I love listening to Hugh Grant’s Audible reading as I enjoy this beautiful hardcover I treated myself to many years ago - love the color illustrations!

Listening to the audiobook with Anton Lesser narrating, along with reading my illustrated copy - I always find the First Stave so exciting, Dickens sets the stage so well, introducing Scrooge, his nephew, Bob Cratchit, and ending with Marley’s Ghost visiting Scrooge in his dark, depressing rooms!

Ive watched both versions of the film I have - 1938 with Reginald Owen, and the 1950s version with Alastair Sims - both enjoyable! Going to get back to listening today as I hustle to finish knitting my dog’s Christmas blanket!
