More masterful wordsmithery from Fassel, but the subject matter and an utterly detestable and obsessive degenerate of a protagonist make it a tough read. In addition to being a tale of woe, watching a human life being sucked down the toilet, it is also vile, grimy homage to 70's era sleaze films and theater culture, and will leave you feeling thoroughly sullied.
