This is awful. The writing is so bad (the dialogue is so stilted and cringeworthy) and the story is so derivative of other fantasy settings. This is like reading bad fanfiction. Not sure if I should continue. I picked this up for my daughter thinking it was YA but it’s not suitable for her based on what I could see and reading a bit confirmed that.
