Everything is happening so fast. Brokk can time travel now and we completely timesskipped 6 years or rebellion. Then they leave and come back an hour later and everyone who was mad at them forgave them? I feel like this could easily have been 2 separate stories, possibly three if they were paced better

I'm confused about what's happening, and Emory has still not been the POV character despite the back of the book being all about her. All the guys she isn't interested in are mad at her for not liking her back. Did I mention I'm confused about everything?

I kinda feel like I've been dropped in the middle of a story instead of the beginning. It's still interesting, just feels like we are tying up loose ends from another story even though this is book 1. I'm also a little disappointed that I'm 7 chapters in and it hasn't been from Emory's perspective. I thought I was reading a story about her, not just the group of guys she knows.
