I was about to be mad because the first section, Nursery Fairy Tales, was so much like the other fairy tale books that I’ve read, but it got a lot better and this section on Legends of the Gods is exactly what I’ve been wanting to read!

Okay, the skeleton of some of these I have absolutely seen in the European fairy tales. I remember the one about the jerks who give one brother cooked rice instead of planting rice and this one is the classic “good boy rescues princess from hole but his comrade leaves him in there to take all the credit”.
