With writing more I have less reading time. But, this book is now filling in the gaps in an enjoyable way.

These last chapters are quite enticing. If only the first half of this book was such a pleasure to read. Though I understand why Brett had to get Jardir's character formed 'first'. It would have been wrong to put it in later, it would have detracted from the story. But, too damn much Jardir in the beginning.

It is sooooo good to be out of the desert. I couldn't help but feel that ove 200 pages were taken up on an area I felt 50 pages would have sufficed. Two words come to mind; 'Major Edit!'

Okaaay, and we're still in the bloody desert *smiling* (yes, I'm aware of the title *laughing*). We've (me & the voices in my head) just had Jardir's version of events up to leaving Arlen in the desert to die. Even though this DID happen in the last book! We now get 200 pages of Jardir's detailed version. Hopefully, our hero will be joining the book sometime soon!

Okaaay, we're still in the desert (bugger!) with Jardir and his version of 'THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN THE LAST BOOK!' *Laughing* I want to know more about Arlen, Leesha, and if he returns to the city where he left his friends and new family! Come on! ;)

Kim Falconer This is on the TBR list!

Steve Hi Kim, TBR? Times Book Review? It wouldn't surprise me, it's an original concept with some well written characters. Too much Jardir, too little Arlen, in this book though (IMO) ;)

Kim Falconer :) To be read . . . :)

I met Peter at World Con in Melbourne last year. He's great! I have heard that (too much Jardir and not enough Arlen) We'll compare notes when I've caught up!

Steve LOL @ TBR ;)
I like his originality. Also, he does a good blend of strong male and female characters. I'll look forward to comparing notes on what you think of this book -x-
