upon reading this page, i think immediately of the moon card (tarot), which symbolises secrets, illusion and the subconscious mind, and if reversed, reveals secrets and shatters illusions. two things to note — one, this woman is dreaming (subconscious mind, illusion) two — the illusion of the “alive” house disappears when the moon is blocked by a cloud. i will be revisiting this page later as i feel all

only two pages in and the imagery/vibes are already very beautiful and mysterious, and the writing style, while i wouldn’t say overly “flowery” as they say so far, (though somewhat) there is something very nice and as i said, mysterious about it, which if you know my common critiques of books well, you know that’s high praise from me. truly hoping this book does not disappoint me.

(or at least most) of the imagery/description choices are entirely purposeful as far as the meaning of the story at large. i could be wrong, but given that it’s so early on in the story, i don’t believe it’s purely for aesthetic embellishment.
