I'm loving smol Ciri. And Geralt is being so stragely good with this kid! Is he good with kids? I didn’t think so. He's more socially awkward in previous chapters. Now he laughs more. Maybe it's because of their intertwined destinies. I also weirdly love the idea of just unromantically snugging up with some new acquaintances under the starry sky, sharing stories, keeping each other warm. That'some fast bonding.

The Bounds of Reason feels like a DnD campaign. We have the quest, basically what passes as a tavern session introducing characters. A sorceress, wizard, bard and a bunch of human and dwarf fighters join forces. We're drinking kegs of beer, meeting suspicious NPCs, hitting on ladies and bribing guards. Encountering cross-species racism. Failing dexterity checks. Fireballing some friends. Basic rpg stuff.
