UNGA 181, “The resolution was another declaration of war, providing the international birth certificate for a Jewish state in most of what was still an Arab-majority land, a blatant violation of the principle of self-determination enshrined in the UN Charter” (71)

This resolution led to the 1948 Nakba which displaced at least 720,000 Palestinians, roughly 80% of the total native population at the time.

Article 22 of the Covenant of the League of Nations, an article in which every other Middle Eastern country was granted (at least some) independence to the populations.

This same article was modified (by the British) for Palestine to not include the native Arab population, in fact it did not even utter the words “Arab” or “Palestinian” at all.There was a complete ignorance for the native culture and people.
