completed the section on the Muromachi Period and now up to the "Diaries of the Early Tokugawa Period" where I will pause for a while. As previously noted I am using Donald Keene's collection of short essays from the newspaper Asahi Shimbun as guidance for deeper study of Japanese Diaries. Keene has always been a great guide on this journey.

Finished the section on the “Diaries of the Kamakura Period” in preparation for reading the two English translations of Lady Nijō’s diary.
