Other times, there was a narrator's point of view where the book hinted about what was to come next. The changing point of view helped the reader understand all sides of the story instead of just seeing one side. It helped the reader understand why characters acted a certain way. It also assisted in letting the reader know whether a character was good or bad.

The point of view was constantly changing in the book, "Everlost," and helped with the telling of the story. While the author did not write in first person, one could still tell which point of view the author was writing in. The author sometimes spoke about what Nick was thinking or feeling and sometimes, the author told what other characters were thinking and feeling.
