McCarthy writes the Texan dialect so well. I love that (even outside of this book) the dialect mostly seems like ... unrefined but it's also pretty educated despite what people, even those that speak it, think bc the main character just said (about himself) "there is no description of a fool that you fail to satisfy" and it just feels so old timey and clever yet still Texan w the twang I love it
