This books reads like a democratic convention discussion involving any number of “democratic socialists”. If that is your cup of tea, you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
The author presents his views with anger and accusations. Surely you must be racist, because look at all these ways you benefits from poverty and racism. I also think that his views don’t share the full truth

The author repeatedly makes the boundless claim that large corporations and wealthy families cheat on their taxes. However, he fails to mention that these are legitimate tax breaks and loopholes used. If they wish to remove these breaks, that lies with a congressional law, not simply encouraging the rich to be more fair

The authors arguments at times seem to contradict themselves. For example, he is quick to profess that the impoverished aren’t lazy, but then claims that the reason that existing social programs aren’t utilized is because the process is “hard”.
