I think I need to pause this one. It’s my first by this author and while I like the writing and I don’t think it’s bad, the story and characters aren’t really sinking in for me. When this happens, I attribute it to my mood and I’m still willing to revisit this author at a later time. I saw another reviewer say it took them 18 days to finish this and I GET IT. Back on the shelf for now.
