Despite the story was wrapped in history of racism, it failed me in both the possibility of attaching to the characters and knowing the real truths behind their stories. Overall, the language was heavy (as expected) and discussions cold (as expected). What pained me the most was one part of the book to which I was hoping to get more of feelings from.. such a painful experience.
