Everyone started laughing and also laughed when they buried his grandmother because they think its ok. to them laughing at a funeral is the same as crying.

Its hard to believe that Junior is dating the popular girl of the school because most people consider him to be a nerd and everyone bullies him. The effect of him becoming popular is that everyone talks to him now and he can date anyone he wants.
