The issue of the babewyns has become a rather big one. One can just find themselves in the Kingdom of Beasts without noticing it.

The Doctor accidentally ends up in the Kingdom of Beasts and finds a massive Black Eye staring up at him.
The Black Eye's something of a loose end. It's never (at least officially) been tied up. It could really be anything.
Serious guess: It's some form of Yssgaroth
Less serious guess: It's a manifestation of every single bad King Kong movie's malicious shit-ness.

The Doctor and Sabbath finally meet face to face - so the Doctor can invite Sabbath to his wedding as best man.
I wonder how many times the Doctor has gotten married. At least four. Maybe ten or twenty times.

I don't know why I found most of this book so tedious on my first readthrough. I think I just had a stick up my ass or something. It is rather good, though I do somewhat wish that Miles didn't meander so much in the recounting. There is a lot in the first chapter that could feasibly be its own novel (such as the Mayakandal and the near-downfall of English society).

Rereading this book. I somewhat remember my last readthrough - slogging through it for most of it until it clicked and I read the last section of it in one go.
