Again great great book. First third or so focused on late 1800s-1920s water and its management mostly through local water resource boards. Now there’s a heavy focus on the Bureau of Reclamation and its work 20s-60s. Crazy that water became a way to earn power and political status and that no sort of long term thinking seemed to go on at this time about how much water we were using and would have left

Great history book. Comes to show how much of the problems we have nowadays just come from people chasing money and overdeveloping land that was never meant to be lived on
