Did you know that Thomas Jefferson has a genus of prehistoric North American giant sloths named after him (Megalonyx jeffersonii)? But let’s not forget South America! The fave food of those 15ft tall giant sloths (Megatherium) was avocados and they swallowed the seeds whole and are credited with creating today’s prolific avocado harvests!
