Urgh. I thought maybe there was finally a non-sexualised female character. I still felt uneasy but I gave it the benefit of the doubt, maybe I'm being too judgemental. But no. The two characters just spontaneously kiss and have sex. W H Y. W H H H H H H Y Y Y Y ??????? I'm so pissed off LOL

This book strikes me as very Murakami with their references to women. They're just background characters to a male lead who's messed up and tell me WHY a character in her "late teens" is written into a romance with a 30-40 year old TWICE? I would forgive it if it served more meaning in the story but once you realise the trend of sexualised female characters, with each passing short story you just have to sigh.
