I loved the book while reading it, but quit the audio. Both narrators weren’t a good fit, one too breathy and the other one too old and almost sleazy. A shame.

HEAVY on the too breathy😭😭😭 it’s driving me NUTS, he’s just doing the MOST….like i care more about you delivering your lines with emotion than i do about you trying to sound sexy🤦‍♀️ makes me wanna skip all of kyran’s chapters😭

oh dear, i love it a lot lmaoo😅 i originally read it in march last year and went crazy for it, i thought it was sexy af….i’m struggling with the audiobook now tho, and i’ve sort of abandoned it for a bit😂 it really is just so LONG and kyran’s voice actor has put me off of starting it back up…

OMG this is the first time I’ve seen someone not vibe with the narrators for this book before 👀 but I totally get you! I was eventually going to try that audiobook but hopefully it doesn’t bother me too much 😭 I hope you are enjoying the book despite Kyran’s chapters 🩷

right!? i heard all praise for the audiobook, so i had to try it…..but damn, whoever is performing kyran’s chapters just sounds like he’s trying too hard to make his voice some low, sexy asmr type thing and it bugs the hell outta me😭😭 like just read the damn thing like normal sir pls!!🙄🤣 avi’s narrator is totally fine tho, i kinda wish it was just him….i’d have probably finished the audiobook already if it was🤧 but i still love this book regardless🧡😊

it was me, but with both of them 😭 their voices didn't match their characters at all, and I couldn't even made it to the second chapter 🥲

i feel you and you’re totally right, they don’t match!!! i did adjust to avi’s pretty quickly, but O M G kyran’s🫠….i could probably talk shit about it all day😂😂 it’s so aggravating, it’s like the guy doesn’t even care about performing the dialogue well or anything, just with how low and scratchy he can get his voice to go😭 completely not at all how i pictured kyran speaking. there’s definitely a different feel to the characters reading vs listening that makes the audiobook less appealing

I didn’t like Kyran’s voice at the start but he grew on me because I found his sex scenes so hot when he whined and moaned. I looked up Corvin King and his voice is naturally like that and I thought it was fitting for Kyran by the end because he was such a sad boy and it fit. However, I never read this book, just listened to it even though it was in my ku library for over a year 🤦🏻‍♀️ Now that I’m more seasoned with audiobooks I’ve learned a few things and the biggest one for me is if I love a book and have read it a bazillion times, I almost always hate it on audiobook because the voices don’t match what I have in my head.

yes omg that’s what’s happening to me with audiobooks too!! i’ve only listened to audiobooks for memoirs (which works better for me than romance) and mm books, and for mm books, i’ve only tried audiobooks that i’ve already read the book and loved and the difference in the way the characters say things in my head vs how the character is voiced isn’t really working for me bc of course i’m gonna think the way i think they sound in my head is better😭😭 so i’ve still yet to finish this audiobook lmao😂
