Fantastic shift of perspective on what causes famine and how political policies, international cooperation and a few determined advocates (Bono, Bill Gates and southern book club moms) can positively shape the direction of aid. The mix of government and private sector policies (or lack thereof) all come together to make or break a people’s ability to escape poverty and move towards self sufficiency.
