I'm bored. The writing is very distant and over explanatory. I want to love it so I put the movie on in the hope that that would excite me to finish it. It didn't. I got an hour thru and turned it off bc i was sooo bored.
I feared this was nothing but a cash grab. That's why I put it off for so long. I believe I'm correct. Which is ironic because the main series has themes of capitalism and consumerism

This is bad, I'm so bored. I put the movie on to hopefully get me excited to finish it but I turned it off after an hour coz i got too bored of that too. Collins fell into the trap of rinsing a franchise just for money. I feared that's what this was, and it is. It's just ironic because the first three books have themes of anti consumerism and anti capitalist... I'm very disappointed tbh

Collins writes some of the most gripping first chapters, and that honey was not it IM SO SORRY I got bored n confused. I miss the first person pov i felt so much more involved.
