This book drags...
I really, really wanted to read this, I enjoyed the TV show New Amsterdam so much!
The stories in this book are always sad. They paint a very good picture of the hardship in life, especially for (illegal) immigrants into the US.
But it really makes me sad and I don't enjoy it at all.
It's written well, sure.
But I'm thinking about quitting, I just can't stand it...
